MOU signed with Sharjah Police

Skyline University College has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sharjah Police on August 27, 2017, at Sharjah Police Headquarters. Sharjah Police General Directorate of Resources and Support Services Director, H.E. Brigadier Mohammed Khalifa Al Miri and SUC Executive Director and Chair of the Executive Council, Mr. Nitin Anand signed the MOU on behalf of their respective organizations. Sharjah Police Human Resources Manager, Colonel Abdurrahman Ali Al Mehairi, Major Saif Al Owais, and SUC Deputy Director for Public Relations Mr. Firas Al Tabbaa were present to witness the MOU signing ceremony.

Among other future collaborations, SUC and Sharjah Police have agreed upon a 2 million worth of BBA and MBA scholarship for all Sharjah Police staffs.

Skyline University College Community Services Committee headed by Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam has organized Drug Awareness Seminar as part of SUC’s CSR activities to its students, faculty and staff today, July 11, 2017 at SUC campus. The committee has invited officials from Sharjah Police to give a seminar on the current trends and awareness about drug use and their implications on the career and well-being of a person.


The Drug Awareness Seminar is being held annually at Skyline University College and under the initiative of SUC Community Services Committee.

​Skyline University College Services Committee headed by SUC Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam has organized its Annual Old Age Home Visit on July 4, 2017. A group of 20 SUC students and 5 faculty members took part in this event. The students were seen interacting with the members in groups and talking to them for a good half an hour while they greeted them with flowers, dates, and cookies.

Skyline University College has welcomed a new batch of IATA Foundation Diploma in Travel and Tourism students yesterday, July 4, 2017 at SUC campus. Students will need to complete two months of course study prior to acquiring their IATA certification. The class will run from July 2 to August 31, 2017 at SUC campus. Center for Professional Development (CPD) Coordinator and SUC Assistant Professor Dr. Ajith Kumar conducted the orientation followed by the distribution of kits. Welcome to Skyline, students!

​Skyline University College Associate Professor Dr. Nadir Kolachi and Assistant Professor Dr. Kakul Agha participated in Oxford Business and Economics Conference at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, United Kingdom on July 1-2, 2017. Dr. Nadir and Dr. Kakul presented two case studies on Emerging Trends of Entrepreneurial Activities of EXPO 2020 and ITL Group of Cosmos, Dubai.

Skyline University College Associate Professor and Chair of Teaching Effectiveness Committee Dr. Mohit Vij has recently participated at the 3rd Global Tourism and Hospitality Conference organized by Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong on June 5-7, 2017. Dr. Mohit presented his findings of the study on, Residents’ Perceptions towards a Mega Event: A Case of Dubai World Expo 2020. “The results of the study focused on the importance of taking residents in confidence for organizing any successful event. So far UAE residents look quite positive towards World Expo 2020, however, need of the hour is to establishing and communicating few tangible gains to the residents, out of the event enabling them to get involved in a better way," Dr. Mohit enthused. The 3-day conference witnessed rounds of academic deliberation made by academicians and practitioners from all over the world.
