New Delhi, May 3 (IANS) Finland-based online security and privacy company F-Secure on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with European Union's law enforcement agency Europol to curb cyber crime.

“Our mission is to protect people and business from cyber threats and we are glad to provide threat intelligence to Europol to aid in their investigation and enforcement efforts to make the online world a safer place for everyone,” said Kimmo Kasslin, head of F-Secure Labs, in a statement.

Signed at Europol's headquarters in The Hague, the MoU will facilitate the exchange of expertise, statistics and strategic information on cyber threats between the two.

“The MoU will improve our capabilities and further increase our effectiveness in assisting EU law enforcement in preventing, prosecuting and disrupting cybercrime,” added Steven Wilson, head of Europol’s European Cybercrime Centre (EC3)
