GEMS

 Program Goal: UniConnect (University Connect) is a GEMS program founded last year by our Chairman to connect GEMS high school students with opportunities and scholarships with international partner universities so they can attend their “Best Fit” university course after they graduate from our GEMS schools anywhere in the world.

 

Overall UniConnect Process

  • UniConnect discussions for formal MOU agreement to define partnership (Kierstan and Robert)
  • University content gathering for communication to GEMS networks, webpage additions, etc. (info from universities sent directly to GEMS Communications Team, Kierstan and Robert)
  • Formal Signing of MOU with GEMS and University partner (Robert to schedule)
  • Press Release from GEMS (Rose Youssef)
  • Communication to GEMS Advisor Network, Administrators at Schools, and Parent Networks globally to implement programs and scholarships with students directly (Kierstan)
  • GEMS Webpage inclusion of university logos and content as approved by GEMS Communications Team (Akanksha Agrawal)
  • Addition of articles and content from university partners for GEMS Magazine, People Connect, etc. (Shauna McHenry)
  • Continued implementation and communication with Advisor Network, Schools, Admin and Parents (Kierstan)
  • Announcements of special updates or new programs for current partners with GEMS Communication department as appropriate (GEMS Team)

 

GEMS Communications Team from Skyline:

  • GEMS Webpage Additions
    1. Please send Skyline University branding, photos, logos, content, etc., to Akanksha Agrawal at agrawal@gemseducation.com for approval to add to GEMS webpage and UniConnect offers with
    2. Immediate basic needs as a Skyline uni logo and link for uni scholarship portal that guides students and parents in the process to apply to Skyline and to access / apply for the GEMS scholarships

 

  • GEMS Family Magazine & People Connect Additions
    1. Please send Skyline content articles to Shauna McHenry at mchenry@gemseducation.com to use for GEMS Family Magazine and GEMS People Connect Magazine (print and online circulation)
    2. University partners articles should include 250 words or less with topics such as: President/Dean’s Corner, Ask the College Admissions Officer, Uni Alumni Story, and/or University Profile feature
    3. Special program updates sent as needed for interest articles with high-resolution photos

 

  • Follow Up & GEMS Network Communications (Kierstan)
    1. Kierstan to implement ongoing communications with University partners and our school networks (advisors, administrators, PRE, parents)
    2. Skyline to directly announce and establish a relationship for each GEMS school advisor to determine how to support their students and staff
    3. May Parent / Student info sessions hosted at GEMS schools (TBD by each school – evening and day events, one each in Dubai-Sharjah-Abu Dhabi)
    4. Re-evaluate process and partners for updates as appropriate
