FDP by SUC’s Research and Teaching Effectiveness Committees

FDP (Faculty Development Program) is a platform to cultivate an environment where teachers learn from each other and become lifelong learners. It is an initiative of the different committees at Skyline to ensure that faculty members continue to deliver quality and innovative education.

In the recent FDP meeting, the Research Committee members, Dr. Gouher Ahmed, Dr. Raid Al-Adaileh, and Dr. Sakkthivel A.M discussed various research themes; in an FDP training session Dr. John Senior of the Teaching Effectiveness Committee trained faculty in building responsive e-learning courses with Articulate Rise.

Guest Lecture: Ethics in the Banking Sector

Guest Lecture: Ethics in the Banking Sector

Upholding an ethical culture at workplace is vital. The role of ethics in finance should be instilled in the young generation. And what better way to do this than by letting students listen to real-life experiences of an industry expert from the Banking Sector. On that note, Dr. Kakul Agha recently invited Mr. Robin Antony, Assistant Vice President for Loyalty Program at ADCB, to talk about "Ethics in the Banking Sector" in her Business Ethics class.

SUC faculty members regularly invite industry experts and leaders to have an interface with the students to expose them to out-of-the-box ideas, new insights, and prepare them for the professional world.
