Skyline University College embraces the new semester with renewed energy and enthusiasm evident in the recent company welcome party organized by the Human Resources Department (HDR). The faculty and staff enjoyed a desert safari adventure which includes dune bashing, camel rides, and Arabian-style dinner. They also witnessed outstanding performances during the belly dance, Tanoura, and fire show.
Over the years, SUC has been organizing a welcome party for employees at the beginning of the semester to motivate them, strengthen their camaraderie, and help them face the new semester with renewed energy and vigor.
Skyline faculty member Dr. Ramakrishna Yamanandra was a panelist during the 6th Energy Meet of Sharjah organized by SEWA on the topics of challenges faced by the energy sector and future opportunities. During the talk, Dr. Ramakrishna emphasized that there is going to be an unprecedented demand for energy in the future, which can be met by identifying alternative sources of energy by adopting the “Triple Bottom Line Approach” for long-term sustainability.
The “Energy Meet” is an event that brings together executives and entrepreneurs from the government and private sectors along with experts to address the challenges faced by the UAE as it enters a new era of energy optimization and management.
It’s a new year and for Skyline Toastmasters Club it’s also a time to get inspired and motivated. On January 14, 2020, the club held its first meeting for the year. With the theme “Never Give Up,” the members shared their stories of hope and inspiration with Head Librarian Mr. Sheikh Maideen as the Toastmaster of the day.

Skyline University College, in collaboration with The Young Vision, hosted the AI and Leadership Workshop for the Heads of the Departments on January 14, 2020. Mr. Ahmed Ameen Ashour of Microsoft Corporation – Gulf conducted a session on Education Technology. Dr. Ajith Kumar of the School of Business gave an interactive discussion on “Leadership” and Dr. Mohammed Afifi gave a talk on “Artificial Intelligence in Education.”

At Skyline, students and employees’ safety is a priority. On that note, Skyline University College organized a First Aid and Fire Safety training for employees where they learn the fundamentals of minimizing risk of injuries and accidents in the workplace.

For the latest fitness activity, the faculty and staff used SUC’s gym for treadmill workouts.
As part of the Mission Slimpossible fitness challenge, Skyline employees were introduced to various activities encouraging them to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. Recently, the Sports Department and the Human Resources Department arranged an abs workout for employees. With the help of fitness trainers from Val'O8, employees perform several ab exercises.

Skyline’s FDP (Faculty Development Program) aims to foster an environment where teachers learn new skills or hone existing ones. This program ensures that faculty members continue to deliver quality and innovative education.

Skyline University College, in partnership with NMC Hospital and Sunny Medical Clinic, arranged an employee immunization on Tuesday. The flu vaccination, which took place at the campus, was part of the workplace wellness program initiated by the Sports and Human Resource Departments.

It was a Thursday filled with energy at Skyline University when employees performed the step exercise as part of the Mission Slimpossible activities organized by the Sports Department and Human Resource Department.
Mission Slimpossible is the 5th edition of SUC’s fitness challenge which is regularly organized to encourage employees to live an active and healthy lifestyle.

In line with our goal of strengthening our alumni network, the SUC Alumni Council organizes various activities that allow alumni to reminisce their college life, reconnect, and build new memories together. Recently, Skyline alumni got together and shared a fun day at the Sharjah Paintball Park.
Skyline Vice-Chairman and COEC, Mr. Nitin Anand; Director for Marketing and Communications, Mr. Rakesh Gaur; and Deputy Director for Government and Public Relations, Mr. Firas Al Tabbaa met with the diplomats of various countries on December 8 and discussed areas of collaboration, scholarship opportunities, community services, CSR initiatives, and community engagement including workshops for school students.
