The SUC Library Department regularly organizes fun games that train the mind. Last week, students had fun playing "Let's Play Puzz" where they played crossword puzzle games.

Skyline recognizes the contributions and active participations of students in making all events successful. Here’s a throwback of SUC’s appreciation ceremony for students whose efforts made the UAE National Day a success.

SUC’s Professional Skill Development Program (PSDP) is a platform to develop students’ professional skills and abilities. On that note, Skyline conducted a sales negotiation training for Sophomore Marketing students on February 24, 2020. At the end of the training, students learned about the B2B buyer-seller relationship and negotiation strategies.

Skyline’s Guest Lecture is a way of enriching the students with the latest updates of the industries. Last week, Skyliners had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Samarth Bahl, Director of Sales at Hampton by Hilton, at the campus for a guest lecture.
Mr. Bahl shared his experiences working in the tourism and hospitality industry and also gave an inspirational talk on the importance of teamwork in an organization.

To enrich the minds of the students and enhance their real-world interactions, Skyline University College invited Ms. Naheed Khan, Co-Founder at Futurwits, an organization dedicated to empowering students and professionals through skill development, to be part of its Guest Lecture Series. During the talk, which happened on February 27, 2020, at SUC campus, Ms. Khan discussed the unemployment rate and how it affects various aspects of society, and she also shared her economic insights, particularly on inflation.

In its goal of exposing students to the professional world and different industries, Skyline University College regularly invites industry experts to give lectures. The recent SUC Guest Lecture, which happened on February 27 at SUC campus, featured Mr. Ramamurthy Venkatesh of NETS International.
Mr. Venkatesh shared insights about the industry to the students. He also discussed digital transformation and successful business models.

In the recent Skyline Toastmasters Club meeting, which took place on February 24, 2020, the members got the chance to be as creative as they wanted with their speeches as the club went off script. The TM of the day was faculty member and Skyline Toastmasters Club President Ms. Nadine Felix. TM Sahera Al Bashi, from the marketing team, served as the Table Topics Master and asked questions that made members think about their life journey and the way they paint their daily life and future.

Speech contests are a Toastmasters tradition and Skyline’s Toastmasters Club took part in this tradition during the Area 45, Division K, Speech Contest on February 21, 2020, held at Skyline campus. Five clubs in the area competed. SUC faculty TM Kakul Agha bagged the 2nd runner-up position in a table topic contest for her “Turn Your Wounds into Wisdom" speech.
Toastmasters meetings allow people to build the skills they need to become strong leaders and confident public speakers.

One of the ways Skyline prepares students for the professional world is by inviting guest speakers to share their professional experiences. On February 23, 2020, Mr. Mohab Ayoub, a serial entrepreneur and an alumnus of SUC, was invited to inspire BBA students by sharing his journey as an entrepreneur. Mr. Ayoub gave a talk on managing a business and coming up with strategies.
Skyline alumnus Ali Zaid, Managing Director, who is now a Managing Director at Options Shipping Services, LLC, was invited to speak in front of Skyliners for a guest lecture on February 23, 2020.
Mr. Zaid graduated from SUC with an MBA in Marketing in 2014 and he inspired the current Skyliners during his talk when he shared the challenges he faced and the successes he obtained during his journey as a student and as a professional.
Skyline regularly invites alumni and CEOs for guest lectures to motivate students and expose them to the professional world.
The Freshmen were given a warm welcome by the SUC community headed by Vice-Chancellor Mohammad In’airat during the Introbash 2020, which happened on February 19, 2020, at SUC campus. With faculty member Dr. Nizar Sahawneh as the host, the students enjoyed trivia games and Tambola; To cap off the evening activities, everyone enjoyed Middle Eastern dishes.
