To solidify social responsibility and reinforce the spirit of volunteerism in students, Skyline University College (SUC) became an education partner in the Own an Hour Program initiated by Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD). Own an Hour Program is organized by PAD to pay tribute to the legacy of UAE’s founding father and empower the youth by teaching them technical and life skills. This program is fully aligned with the Day for Dubai Initiative, an initiative which serves as a platform for the young generation to give back to society.
Five students from SUC, along with Dr. Taleb Bilal who is the Chair of SUC’s Services Committee, received recognition certificates from CDA (Civil Development Authority) and PAD on December 11, 2018 for their volunteer work. The students completed 100 hours of training which is divided into two parts: module and practical that are composed of sessions on creative design, web design and development, film and photography, content writing, and event management.
