Media and Communication Department (MCD) at Skyline University College (SUC) handles online and offline media related activities and transmits constant communication to relevant audiences. The department is under the Marketing and Creative Communication Head and is committed to strengthening the university’s image and increasing brand awareness nationally, regionally, and internationally. It primarily plays a key role in disseminating and communicating the university’s message to both internal and external audience. The department is divided into five functions: Content Management, Design Management, Website, FAQ, and Portal Management, SMO and SEO, Video and Online Campaign Management.
The department is responsible for creating a positive image and good representation of SUC in various offline and online channels. MCD provides information and news about the university’s activities, events, and achievements; coordinates the public and media relations efforts; develops the university’s main webpages; and ensures the proper usage of the university’s brand in online and offline campaigns and in all social media channels. .
Media and Communication department coordinates with various departments to obtain information to be displayed on the website, forwards it to Dean or HQA for approval and finally sends it to the approved external agent for displaying on the website.
The department is also responsible for monitoring the content which is uploaded on the website on a timely basis and check for any discrepancies in the uploaded information. In case any discrepancies are found, the department immediately notifies the vendor to remove the incorrect information from the website. The discrepancies can also be reported to the Media and Communication department by other department personnel who come across this information.
The Media and Communication department coordinates with departments and obtains updated content of their departments on an annual basis. All the academic and academic support services units send a request for updating related website content as and when it is revised, new activities or events conducted by them to display it on the website.
Department forwards the latest news and happenings of the University to vendor for uploading on the website as and when they happen. The department ensures that website should continually evolve and be refined to meet the increasing demands of audience as well as reflect the progressing technologies and new browser versions.

i. Daily Basis: News, sharing information with stake holders and uploading
ii. Weekly Basis: News, Academic update including knowledge update.
iii. Monthly Basis: News, events and newsletter.

The Department manages Press Planning, Media Relations, Web Communications, Social Media Optimization, Search Engine Optimization, Internal and External communication and Graphic Design. Internally the department communicates the University's messages and announcements to faculty, administrators and staff, as well as to students through various Medias.
By the virtue of multi-faceted nature of work it provides information and news about the university’s activities, events and achievements; coordinates the public and media relations efforts; develops the university’s main webpages; offers broadcast, photography university publications; ensures the proper usage of the University’s branding guidelines; media representation and oversees the University community’s participations in external events.
