- Her MA was granted equivalency by the Ministry of Education of the United Arab Emirates in December of 2018
Work Experience
- Felix has been teaching in Higher Education institutions since 1999
- She has been teaching in the UAE since January 2018
- She was appointed as a Writing Centre Consultant/Business Communication lecturer at the Port Elizabeth Technikon in South Africa in 1999
- Felix joined the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University as a contract lecturer and a year later moved to the post of Language Practitioner for the institution in 2008
- She joined the University of Johannesburg, South Africa’s English Department as a lecturer in 2010
Certifications and other info relevant to teaching and research
- A desire for global connection and outreach has led to Ms Felix completing a fulltime, on campus, TESOL certification course in 2010 which is accredited by the School for International Training Graduate Institute in the United States of America
- She further holds DSL 1 (beginner) black board certification for designing fully online courses.
- Ms Felix is an involved and passionate Freshmen mentor but happily advises all students who seek advice
- She is the Editor of Skyline University College’s Newsline magazine and manages Skyline’s Toastmasters club
