To help students easily adapt to their different roles and working environments once they leave the university, SUC has introduced Core Life Skills and Happiness (COSHAP) course to the freshman.
Mr Kamal Puri at the Harvard Business Review's EdaraLab Education Management Conference
Chairman of Skyline International Group and Founder President of Skyline University College, Mr. Kamal Puri, was one of the panelists at the Harvard Business Review’s 2nd EdaraLab Education Management Conference: Educating for the Future, a conference of industry leaders and management experts aiming to contribute to the national discussion on how to improved education and how to position the UAE as a regional center of educational excellence. The conference was held at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi on November 12, 2018.
Skyline University College and The Young Vision magazine organized the Let’s Talk: 5th Counselor Workshop on November 5, 2018, at SUC Campus. More than 90 school counselors from various schools in the UAE graced the event.
Skyline International Group Chairman and SUC Founder President, Mr. Kamal Puri, gave an inspiring talk titled “Future of Higher Education.” Associate Professor at Skyline University College, Dr. Riktesh Shrivastava gave an engaging talk on how to tackle cyberbullying in schools and Organizational Psychologist Gabriela (Freidman) Levy gave an informative workshop on anxiety and stress management.
The Let’s Talk workshop is a joint initiative of SUC and TYV which aimed to bring together in one place the educators and counselors in the country to gain insights and inspiration. It also provides a chance for them to advance their knowledge and acquire relevant strategies in dealing with students.

In line with SUC’s goal of motivating students and developing their skills, Skyline University College’s Library Department organized an Author Visit and Workshop by Leza Lowitz on November 4, 2018, at SUC campus. Ms. Lowitz, an American author and Yoga instructor who is currently residing in Tokyo, is a recipient of the 2001 PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award for her “Yoga Poems: Lines to Unfold By.” She’s also the author of the Amazon best-selling novels “Up from the Sea” and “Jet Black and the Ninja Wind.”
With the full support of SUC Dean, Dr. Mohammad In’airat, Head of Academic Support, Ms. Sunita Marwaha, Head Librarian, Mr. Sheikh Maideen, Head of Student Services Affairs, Dr. Osama Ali Thawabeh, Student Counselor, Ms. Tsetsei George –Okoro and faculty members, Ms. Nadine Felix, Dr. Kakul Agha, Dr. Mohit Vij and Dr. Ramakrishna Yanamandra, along with the SUC community of students, faculty, and staff, the Author Visit and Workshop was well received by the audience.
Ms. Lowitz inspired the attendees by sharing how she pursued her passion for yoga and writing.

Skyline University College (SUC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) on October 16, 2018. The MoU signing happened during the GITEX 2018 at Dubai Federal Authority.
SCA Director of Government Communication and International Affairs, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed AlMatroushi and SUC Founder President, Mr. Kamal Puri signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
In this MoU, SUC’s School of IT enters a consultancy agreement with SCA to deliver Android and IOS Applications developed with the help of software professionals and students of SUC, the objective of which is to integrate and provide industry knowledge and sharpen the skills of students.
The event was attended by SUC’s Head of Academics – IT, Dr. Deepak Kalra, Head of Computing Services Mr. Firoj Rauta, Dy. Director-Marketing & Admissions, Mr. Rakesh Gaur, and SUC Professor Dr. Nizar M.F. Sahawneh.
Skyline University College is incredibly proud of Mohammad Wasim, a junior BBA in Marketing and Retail Management student, for winning the DFM Stock Game Competition organized by the Dubai Financial Market during the GITEX 2018. He received a certificate and an iPad.
Mr. Wasim expresses his thanks for everyone’s support, “Thanks to DFM for organizing such event...and special thanks to Prof. Dr. Nizar Sahawnesh who encouraged and motivated me for this competition, and helped me gain confidence. The participants of the 7-day SUC Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Trends in IT from Jaipura Institute of Management Studies, India, have arrived today in the UAE.
The Boot Camp will run from September 14 until 20, 2018 at SUC Campus. There will be workshops, discussions, and tours for the participants.

Dr. Ajith Kumar and Dr. Mohit Vij conducted the orientations for the ACCA and CTH – Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management students. They were also shown around the campus so they’ll know the various facilities and amenities that they can enjoy at Skyline.

Skyline University College (SUC), Sharjah, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in Dubai last August 15, 2018 for the awarding of scholarships to Tas-heel employees and their family. The MoU was signed by Ms. Aysha Belharfia, Assistant Undersecretary for Employment Affairs of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the UAE, and Mr. Firas Al Tabbaa, SUC Deputy Director for Public Relations.
This partnership is in line with SUC’s goal to make quality education accessible to everyone. Hence, it allocated AED 10 million worth of scholarship to Tas-heel. The employees and their family can avail 30% to 50% scholarship.
The event was attended by the Director of Tas-heel offices in the UAE, H.E. Sheikh Abdulrahman Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Mualla.

Indian Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Navdeep Singh Suri visited Skyline University College (SUC), Sharjah Campus, on September 10, 2018. He was welcomed by Skyline University team headed by Skyline Group Founder President and Chairman, Mr. Kamal Puri. H.E. Dr. Tariq Sultan bin Khadim, the Chairman of the Directorate of Human Resources (HR) of Sharjah was also present.
After H.E. Navdeep Singh Suri’s tour around the campus to show the infrastructure and facilities, the Executive Director of Skyline International Group and Chair of the Executive Council of SUC, Mr. Nitin Anand, gave an overview of Skyline University and its expansion plans. His Excellency was informed about the history of Skyline since its establishment in 1990. He was also briefed about the AED 2 million worth of scholarships offered by Skyline to support the Indian community in achieving their aspirations for higher education in the UAE.
