45 Days Road to Fitness - Cricket Match Feb 28th

Visit and Workshop by Author Leza Lowitz Held at SUC

In line with SUC’s goal of motivating students and developing their skills, Skyline University College’s Library Department organized an Author Visit and Workshop by Leza Lowitz on November 4, 2018, at SUC campus. Ms. Lowitz, an American author and Yoga instructor who is currently residing in Tokyo, is a recipient of the 2001 PEN Oakland Josephine Miles Award for her “Yoga Poems: Lines to Unfold By.” She’s also the author of the Amazon best-selling novels “Up from the Sea” and “Jet Black and the Ninja Wind.”


With the full support of SUC Dean, Dr. Mohammad In’airat, Head of Academic Support, Ms. Sunita Marwaha, Head Librarian, Mr. Sheikh Maideen, Head of Student Services Affairs, Dr. Osama Ali Thawabeh, Student Counselor, Ms. Tsetsei George –Okoro and faculty members, Ms. Nadine Felix, Dr. Kakul Agha, Dr. Mohit Vij and Dr. Ramakrishna Yanamandra, along with the SUC community of students, faculty, and staff, the Author Visit and Workshop was well received by the audience.


Ms. Lowitz inspired the attendees by sharing how she pursued her passion for yoga and writing.

One Day Course in Dealing With and Managing Difficult Stakeholders

Skyline University College has welcomed 24 participants from Nigeria for the One Day Course in Dealing With and Managing Difficult Stakeholders on June 27, 2018 at SUC Campus.

The resource speakers of the program were SUC Head of Academics-School of Business, Dr. Ajith Kumar; Head of Academics-School of Information Technology, Dr. Deepak Kalra; and Professor, Dr. Amitabh Upadhya. During their respective sessions, the speakers covered the topics of Stakeholders Requirements and Basic Concepts of Attitude, Personality, and Perception; Conflict Management and Strategies in Handling Difficult Stakeholders; and Role of Emerging Technologies and Social Media.

At the end of the program, each participant was awarded with a certificate for successfully completing the course.

DFM Workshop

Following the visit to Dubai Financial Market organized by Skyline University College for the students of Delhi Private School, SUC Professor, Dr. Nizar Sahawneh has also conducted a DFM Workshop on June 25, 2018 at SUC Campus. The DFM Workshop aimed to further expand the students’ knowledge on financial markets and give them an in-depth understanding on investments, stock markets, and trading among others. After the workshop, the students along with their teachers took a quick Skyline campus tour.

Freshmen Orientation

Today, the Skyline faculty and staff welcomed a new batch of freshmen students at Skyline University College. An orientation was conducted to the new students to give them a comprehensive understanding on university policies, rules and regulations, and university life.

BSIT Certificate Distribution

Following the successful class commencement of the first batch of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology-Enterprise Computing (BSIT-EC) at the start of Spring semester for AY 18-19, the BSIT-EC students received their first ever certificates for successfully completing the Cybersecurity Essentials by CISCO Networking Academy.

As part of the SUC Care Package designed and created by Student Services Department, the SUC Bridging Programme was introduced to the SUC students during an orientation event on February 20, 2018 at SUC campus. The SUC Bridging Programme aims to help new international students to adapt to the SUC and UAE culture. The program also caters to the students’ need to adjust to studying abroad—a transitional stage of getting fully onboard to the university life.

Skyline University College Corporate Affairs headed by Mr. Pawan Bhatia organized a recruitment drive with Hilton Group on January 21, 2018 at SUC campus. Hilton RAK Resort & Spa Executive for Internship Recruitment, Ms. Esther Cepeda has presented the current internship vacancies at Hilton Group that fall under two categories: Leadership Internship (12 months) and Operational Internship (6 months).


Subsequently, Ms. Esther has also introduced Hilton Group’s Graduate Programs to the students, Finesse or Graduate Finance Program and Elevator or Graduate Fast Track. These programs are offered to graduates who will undergo trainings in order to become future Finance Directors and General Managers (GM) respectively.

The Innovation Course students under the class of Skyline University College Assistant Professor Dr. Kakul Agha welcomed AYM Managing Director Mr. Paul Kenny today, December 18, 2017, at SUC campus. Mr. Kenny discussed this year’s Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) competition to the students who appeared enthusiastic about the participation and the mentorship they will receive from Mr. Paul.
