Skyline University College Events Committee has organized a memorable Senior Farewell Party for outgoing SUC students who have reached the final term of their college journey on July 13, 2017 at SUC Multi-Purpose Hall.
The committee awarded some of the funniest awards to students who have portrayed unique characters throughout their four years of stay at Skyline. Some of the awards were Drama Queen Award, Mother Theresa Award, Bunker Award, Lazy Award, and Smarty Pants Award among others.
The seniors enjoyed the rest of the evening with good food in the company of their friends and professors creating memories to last.
Skyline University College Community Services Committee headed by Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam has organized Drug Awareness Seminar as part of SUC’s CSR activities to its students, faculty and staff today, July 11, 2017 at SUC campus. The committee has invited officials from Sharjah Police to give a seminar on the current trends and awareness about drug use and their implications on the career and well-being of a person.
The Drug Awareness Seminar is being held annually at Skyline University College and under the initiative of SUC Community Services Committee.
Skyline University College Assistant Professor Dr.Ajith Kumar.V.V attended the 22nd Eurasia Business and Economics Society Conference from May 24-26, 2017. Dr. Ajith presented a paper entitled “Human Resource Flexibility: An Effective Tool for Competitive Advantage” in the Faculty of Economics, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
Skyline University College Services Committee headed by SUC Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Salam has organized its Annual Old Age Home Visit on July 4, 2017. A group of 20 SUC students and 5 faculty members took part in this event. The students were seen interacting with the members in groups and talking to them for a good half an hour while they greeted them with flowers, dates, and cookies.
Skyline University College Associate Professor Dr. Nadir Kolachi and Assistant Professor Dr. Kakul Agha participated in Oxford Business and Economics Conference at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, United Kingdom on July 1-2, 2017. Dr. Nadir and Dr. Kakul presented two case studies on Emerging Trends of Entrepreneurial Activities of EXPO 2020 and ITL Group of Cosmos, Dubai.
Skyline University College has welcomed a new batch of IATA Foundation Diploma in Travel and Tourism students yesterday, July 4, 2017 at SUC campus. Students will need to complete two months of course study prior to acquiring their IATA certification. The class will run from July 2 to August 31, 2017 at SUC campus. Center for Professional Development (CPD) Coordinator and SUC Assistant Professor Dr. Ajith Kumar conducted the orientation followed by the distribution of kits.

Skyline University College Associate Professor and Chair of Teaching Effectiveness Committee Dr. Mohit Vij has recently participated at the 3rd Global Tourism and Hospitality Conference organized by Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Hong Kong on June 5-7, 2017.
Dr. Mohit presented his findings of the study on, Residents’ Perceptions towards a Mega Event: A Case of Dubai World Expo 2020. “The results of the study focused on the importance of taking residents in confidence for organizing any successful event. So far UAE residents look quite positive towards World Expo 2020, however, need of the hour is to establishing and communicating few tangible gains to the residents, out of the event enabling them to get involved in a better way," Dr. Mohit enthused.
The 3-day conference witnessed rounds of academic deliberation made by academicians and practitioners from all over the world.
The Filipino Community at Skyline University College has organized a Ramadan Community Service to the victims of human trafficking who are under the care of Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Dubai on June 23, 2017. The SUC staffs arrived with donations and food for the victims and conducted games for the entertainment of the crowd as well as a film showing. Laughter and smiles radiated in the room all throughout the program.
SUC Assistant Professor, Dr. Sharon Mendoza-Dreisbach organized the community service at POLO Dubai as part of the Ramadan Community Service of SUC.
Skyline University College Services Committee has initiated a Ramadan Community Service entitled “Ramadan Trainers’ Training” to Kabayan Non-Profit Organization (KNPO) — a group professional volunteers who teach their expertise to the Filipino Community. The second program was an intensive Excel Class conducted by SUC Associate Professor Dr. Riktesh Srivastava on June 9, 2017 at SUC campus.
The Ramadan Trainers’ Training coordinator is SUC Assistant Professor Dr. Sharon Mendoza-Dreisbach with SUC Services Committee coordinator Associate Professor Dr. Mahesh Agnihotri. The workshops are conducted as part of the CSR activities of SUC.
The 5-day IELTS Workshop organized by Skyline University College English Language Center has commenced today, June 11, 2017. The workshop serves as a guide and training for students and aspirants to be acquainted with the IELTS exam criteria, rules, and other guidelines in order to achieve a passing score during the actual test. The workshop also provides helpful tips, which participants can use to get a comprehensive understanding of the test categories namely, Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing.
The SUC IELTS workshop will run from June 11-15, 2017, from 10:30AM-12:30PM at SUC Multi-Purpose Hall.
